TREASURE FOUND AT BAKER SOUND

Baker Sound Studios in Center City continues to be Hollywood’s first choice for ADR production in Philadelphia.  Actor David E. Goodman was in the booth to record dialog for Jerry Bruckheimer Films’ National Treasure: Book of Secrets, the second film in the series starring Nicolas Cage and directed by Jon Turteltaub.  We also had the opportunity to work with Marshall Productions on the Harpo Films picture The Great Debaters.  Actor Robert Gophin, who plays Dunbar Reed in the film, joined us for an ADR session.  Grammy-winning vocalist Jill Scott came by to rerecord dialog for her new film, The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency; director Anthony Minghella flew in from London to supervise the session.  The film marks the first starring role for Philadelphia native Scott.  Hall of Fame broadcaster Harry Kalas contributed his distinctive voice to the Universal Pictures film Leatherheads.  George Clooney directs and stars in the picture, which is slated for release later this year.  And Georgia Engel (you may remember her as "Georgette" from The Mary Tyler Moore Show, or as "Pat MacDougall" from Everybody Loves Raymond) came by to reprise her role as "Bobbie" in the upcoming animated feature Open Season 2, scheduled for release in 2009.

On the small screen, actor Sean McGraw was with us to record dialog for a recent episode of Prison Break (airs Mondays at 8pm on FOX).  Actor Basil Wallace was in, working on an episode of NCIS for CBS/Paramount. The aforementioned Harry Kalas recorded new promos for The NFL Network, and voiced the upcoming Puppy Bowl IV on Animal PlanetHuman Weapon’s Bill Duff was back to work on new episodes of his show on The History Channel.  And award-winning actor Stanley Tucci spent a day with us, voicing AT&T Wireless commercials via ISDN for BBDO New York.

Baker Sound and MONSTER TRACKS music have also been busy working on several of the Presidential primary campaigns (we’ll tell you more about that when it’s all over).  Champion bass fisherman Mike Iaconelli was back to record some lines for his new show City Limits on Versus Network. Mike gave the Baker staff some fishing tips last year when we recorded his audio book Fishing on the Edge. Director Ron Cohen of Out of the Blue Productions was in Studio A with Baker President Rick DiDonato working on the new documentary Living With Bipolar Disorder.  Finally, we’re as busy as ever with new pharmaceutical productions, including recent projects for LWW, Elsevier, Vox Medica, and GSK.
