| Question: What are your RATES?
Baker Sound offers hourly as well as per-project rates for various types of productions. Please contact Ellen Kancher at 215-567-0400 for current rate info, or email HERE. For MONSTER TRACKS original music production rates, please contact composer Chuck Butler. Our normal hours of operation are Monday thru Friday, 9am to 5pm, however we can generally accommodate clients who require night or weekend sessions. Please contact Ellen Kancher at 215-567-0400 for all booking questions. Question: Can you help me find/book VOICE TALENT? Baker Sound specializes in voice recording. Please visit the VOICELINK portion of our site to audition some of the talent we recommend. We are also able to recommend talent based on your script, which you can send to us here. Email VOICELINK for more information and talent rates. Question: I am a voice-over artist. Will you include me on VOICELINK? Our policy is to include high-quality voice talent with whom we have production experience. We are always looking for talent, and we are eager to hear your demo (see below). If we like your demo, we'll contact you about working with us, and if all goes well you may be added to VOICELINK. Question: I am a voice-over artist. How do I submit my DEMO? Voice talent demos are welcome, and may be emailed HERE. Please send mp3 format, no more than :60 in any one category (you may submit demos in more than one category, for example a commercial demo as well as a political demo). Question: Can I record my BAND at your studio? Baker Sound is not in the business of record production, so we do not record bands. However once your band does make a recording, you may want to get a copy to our Music Director, if you'd like to be considered for advertising work. We do work with vocalists who need to track for album projects, particularly when an ISDN connection is required. Question: Do you guys do ADR work? Absolutely. Baker Sound has done more ADR work for feature films than any facility in the Philadelphia region. Please visit our ADR services page for more details, then contact Ellen Kancher at 215-567-0400 to book your session. Question: What types of ISDN do you support? We support most ISDN formats, including Telos, Zephr, APT, and 3d2. If you need to connect via Dolby Fax, please contact Ellen Kancher at 215-567-0400 to set up a bridge. Question: What are your ISDN dial-up numbers? For APT/3d2 (for STEREO use all 6 numbers, for MONO use the first 3): 215-561-4024 215-561-4025 215-561-4026 215-561-4027 215-561-4028 215-561-4029 For Telos/Zephr: 215-561-4028 215-561-4029 Question: How do I download files from your FTP site? Once we have uploaded your files to our FTP server, your engineer will send you a link to access them. There are two methods you can use: 1. WEB BROWSER When you receive the email that includes the link to your files, click on it, or paste it into your web browser. Windows users running Internet Explorer will need to make sure that FTP is enabled in your browser preferences. You will be taken directly to your files, where Windows users can right-click to download. For Mac OS X users, your folder will mount in the Finder, simply drag the files you want to your desktop. 2. FTP PROGRAM Both Windows and Mac users have the option to use a dedicated FTP program to retrieve files. In this case, you need to be aware of how translate the link that we send you. For example, when we send you a link, it is formatted like this: ftp://foldername:password@bakersound.com Where "foldername" is the name of the folder we have assigned to you on our server, and "password" is the password we have assigned. So in an FTP application, you would enter: SERVER: ftp://bakersound.com USER: type in your "foldername" (whatever folder name we assigned in the link) PASSWORD: type in your "password" (whatever password we assigned in the link) Please contact us at 215-567-0400 if you have any difficulty. |
